Sukosta Explorative Arts 2010

SUKOSTA is the artistic collaboration of Sue Lee and Kosta Andrea. At the Heart of the work is a leap into the unknown, a laboratory process – a quest to discover the unpredictable. The company has to date created nine new performance pieces as well as installations and film work, and has presented in venues and festivals in the UK, Canada, Switzerland and Italy. SUKOSTA has gained support from many funders and a growing international reputation for its personal, humorous, quirky and atmospheric visual theatre that touches the depth of human experience

A dynamic international 3 day professional workshop for performance artists wishing to develop their practice SUKOSTA shares its expertise of theatre making and supports the exploration of creators in discovering and fulfilling their artistic potential. Through movement, and focus on ‘the essential’, professionals will explore their own personal direction through an encouraging group experience.

Cost £135: Workshop and food included.; sandwich lunch and evening meal at local restaurant

Our Time

Creative theatre residencies for the young at heart

A programme of rewarding and inspiring residencies A time of personal creative discovery through the body, memory, sound and theatrical play. Starting with gentle movements, each residency is specifically and carefully tailored to each group; becoming a sharing, nurturing, original and personal experience for all those involved. Led by Sue Lee ‘Our Time’ brings SUKOSTA’s unique explorative approach to elderly groups across Wiltshire, stimulating and empowering the young at heart.

‘Our Time’ will visit homes for older people, Salisbury Playhouse and other communities and venues across Wiltshire.

A challenging interactive demonstration workshop for young people, introducing them to the world of creative theatre, led by international performing artist Kosta Andrea

Messing Around will draw from observation of everyday life, and the analysis of human movement. The workshop will inspire and open new doors of the imagination and creative confidence

The creative event will share Kosta’s unique and acclaimed workshop style with a wider community of up to 200 young people. Focusing on the process of theatrical creation – the trying out of what works, and what was meant for the bin! ‘Messing Around’ ultimately reveals a sense of exploration, which will underpin any dramatic material of genuine substance.
