Space Day Log

No Description

Space- A Year 9 Specialism day at Malmesbury School

0900 hours, Earth time.

We have landed.  The Mamaflurgs have at last set foot on to the Earth’s crust.  Our translator is functional but the recording technology has been fried.  Believed cause is the atmosphere change as we broke through the exosphere.

Junior Mamaflurgs have been successfully integrated into the population of Malmesbury School.

Note for home: Top clothing colour choice for camouflage is black.  All human children wear this colour.

1100 hours, Earth time.

No DescriptionInformation is being gathered by the Junior Mamaflurgs.  They are capturing images of facts being shared with them by the Expert humans.  We are on target for learning if this solar system is a good holiday destination for the Mamaflurg race.  The Junior Mamaflurgs are making houses that could withstand the temperatures of other planets, finding out their mass on different planets and making a scale model of the solar system.   Learning objectives are being met.No Description

Note for home: Humans acknowledge each other by slapping hands.  They call it a ‘high 5’.

1500 hours, Earth time.

No DescriptionOur mission is complete.  The Elder Malmaflurgs remained successfully hidden throughout the day, with the exception of a rogue Elder.  This Mamaflurg visited the different clusters of Juniors and reinforced their mission tasks while attempting to remain unseen by freezing Expert humans with a remote.

The Junior Mamaflurgs did our race proud.  They absorbed the Earth knowledge and were able to create adverts, holiday brochures and podcasts to transmit their findings home.

Note for home:  I was interested to learn that my Earth age works out at 23 years.  If we had landed on Mercury I would be 97 Mercurian years old.  This is something we must consider when choosing our holiday destinations in the future.
