Practice is a platform giving artists and audiences the opportunity to test and see new and innovative contemporary performance and dance in development.
Practice consists of four selected extracts of work in progress. An informal discussion follows, which forms an integral part of the evening; its purpose to create a safe environment for an engaging exchange of views between artists and a real audience.
It’s a place for experiments, a place for practice and a place for shaping new ideas.
Practice is a partnership project between ICIA and Salisbury Arts Centre from an original idea by TheatreWorks, now CEW (Creative Ecology Wiltshire).

A record collection is so much more than a selection of fragile black disks that play music; it is a depository of memories, those of the owner overlaid upon those of the society.
For Vinyl, Bill will play some of his wildly diverse singles and LPs he has collected over many years on the move and he will recall, revise and retell what they might be records of.

456The play, Holes, was a very well put together play, in my ooniipn. The staging and props were creative and very realistic. It was as though you were in the hot dessert sun, with the red and orange lights beating down on the stage. The moving part of the stage was something I had never seen before, moving props on and off- such as the big water truck, this moving section really added to the whole experience of watching Holes. The only part I was a dissapointed about was the cast, although the actors played their roles very well, I felt as though they did not quite match the feeling of the play. I do realize that a play is going to be different than a movie and/or book, the actors and ability of what can be done will vary but some even spoke in monotone and with no emotion, at parts in the play. The casting issue was very minor because I thought the props and setting were so amazing that it took away from this problem and made it less noticeable. Overall, I really enjoyed Holes and I thought the IRT did a very nice job with this play.A.P.Sycamore School21
