The Watermill Center invites emerging artists to submit ambitious proposals for the creation of collaborative works that critically investigate, challenge, and extend the existing norms of performance practice. The Center is founded on the belief that performance and stagecraft should draw inspiration from all the arts and social sciences. We also welcome research proposals from established scholars. We are actively engaged in extending our network of collaborators and encourage proposals from artists throughout the world.Complete guidelines are available on our website http://byrdhoffmanwatermillfoundation.cmail2.com/t/y/l/oljkhy/tihdjjqj/r
Residencies can range from 1-4 weeks throughout the Fall (September-December) or Spring (February-June). As part of the Center’s outreach program, residents are required to conduct and document a public presentation, such as an open rehearsal, and to indicate if they would be willing to hold a workshop for the local community. http://byrdhoffmanwatermillfoundation.cmail2.com/t/y/l/oljkhy/tihdjjqj/y
