Educational Workshops in classical Indian dance for schools

India Dance Wales offers inspirational,informative and rewarding dance workshops for children from nursery (from 3 years) up to adult. We tailor our workshops to suit specific Year Groups, and can enhance a range of National Curriculum subjects including Religious Education, History and P.E, as well as social and cultural programmes for schools on British Council programmes to 'Connect cultures through classrooms' Activities can include a performance for the whole school, small group workshop sessions and our residencies offer the opportunity for children to create their own dance performance! Over the past 25 years India Dance Wales has created a varied and extraordinary repertoire, ranging from pure classical Bharatanatyam with Carnatic music (South Indian Classical) to those combining different art forms and modern visual techniques as well as cross-cultural themes.
