I’m a writer and performance poet. As Spoken Word Coordinator for the Merlin Theatre Frome, I promote and organise events for writers within the community.
STAGE WRITE is one current project with writer and theatre practitioner Niamh Ferguson: we are leading a series of workshops for writers who want to see their words performed on stage, and their 3-minute monologues will be performed at the Merlin.
I've also joined up with playwright Rosie Finnegan to form Nevertheless Productions, providing Frome with its first Pub Theatre. We launched in July 2010 with Conor McPherson's 'St Nicholas' performed by London actor Matt Ward. We are actively looking for other stage-ready productions for future events, as well as working with local writers and performers. Anything edgy, funny, contemporary, and professional considered, if it fits in an upstairs room in a pub.
