Victoria Melody is a performer and filmmaker with a curiosity for other people’s passions. Part artist, part ethnographer she gives audiences brief glimpses into the worlds of people they would not normally meet or experience.

Victoria, an untrained dancer, has been travelling the dance halls and living rooms of England being taught to dance by Northern Soul’s ex-champions.

Northern Soul, Victoria’s new performance, draws on those investigations and explores the ‘soul of the north’ using film, original Northern Soul dance moves and a basset hound...

Northern Soul is a Farnham Maltings commission. Victoria Melody is an Associate Artist of The Basement, Brighton.
