HOLD THE DATE State of the arts: artists shaping the world

State of the arts, the national conference for the arts and culture sector, will return on 14 February 2012. Held in Salford, the event will be hosted by Arts Council England in conjunction with the BBC, The Lowry, Salford City Council and Manchester City Council.

An exciting programme of presentations and debates from a diverse array of key figures will be announced shortly. This year's conference will also feature significant opportunities for pre-event digital involvement and engagement, and an evening of pre-conference arts activities produced by Manchester International Festival on 13 February.

Last year over 500 delegates attended State of the arts, as tickets sold out quickly early registration is recommended to secure a place.  The event is aimed at senior level management from arts and cultural organisations, artists and senior figures involved in the arts from agencies, local authorities, higher education and the media.
