New guidelines have been published for street artists to help make events more accessible for deaf and disabled people.
The 76-page guide was commissioned by the Independent Street Arts Network following a symposium during which producers told the network there was a lack of guidance on accessibility for the sector.
ISAN's Access Toolkit was written by the disability-led arts organisation Attitude is Everything and includes advice on programming work by deaf and disabled artists, building deaf and disabled audiences, planning the layout of an event and working with volunteers.
