Individual Giving - a study into donor motivation

Individual giving is the largest single source of funding for the cultural sector. To help us understand donor motivation and activation, we commissioned research by City University London.

This is the first report into low- and mid-level cultural giving, providing essential intelligence into how to maximise your organisation’s individual giving potential. Focusing on low- to mid-level donors, outside of London, this research determines how we can improve giving among existing cultural donors, such as what incentives there are and how to ask for donations. The findings encompass the experiences and perceptions of both cultural organisations and individual donors.
